Global cloud giant Amazon Web Services (AWS) has introduced four tools to help users build, test and validate AI skills as part of its broader effort to narrow the global talent gap and strengthen its position in enterprise AI training.
The company said demand for job-ready AI talent is rising faster than most organizations can train for, making practical, hands-on learning essential.
Its Skill Builder platform now offers more than 220 free AI courses, covering everything from introductory modules to advanced training in generative and agentic AI.
The self-paced format is designed for workers fitting upskilling around already full schedules.
To bring learning closer to real practice, AWS has rolled out the Skill Builder Meeting Simulator, Cohorts Studio, new microcredentials and a Generative AI Developer, Professional certification.
These tools recreate workplace situations so learners can explain complex ideas to non-technical leaders, collaborate better with technical teams and receive detailed AI-powered feedback.
The Meeting Simulator creates virtual conversations with AI personas, ranging from skeptical executives to domain experts, helping users sharpen how they present and defend AI solutions.
Cohorts Studio allows teams to set up structured study groups, run AI bootcamps and even host friendly competitions, supported by live leaderboards tracking progress.
AWS is also expanding its certification portfolio. The beta exam for the Generative AI Developer, Professional credential will open on 18 November.
New microcredentials target specific technical abilities and require candidates to troubleshoot and build solutions in simulated AWS environments.
The Serverless Demonstrated and Agentic AI Demonstrated credentials underline the platform’s focus on job-ready, verifiable skills in fast-evolving areas.
