Senapathy “Kris” Gopalakrishnan, co-founder of Infosys, is Chairman of Axilor Ventures, nurturing early-stage startups. A former CEO and Vice Chairman of Infosys, he is widely recognized as a global thought leader in business and technology and was awarded the Padma Bhushan in 2011.
Kris plays a defining role in India’s innovation ecosystem, serving as Chair of the IISc Bangalore Council, Board Chair of IIIT Bangalore, and Chairperson of the Reserve Bank Innovation Hub (RBIH). He also chairs itihaasa Research and Digital, which chronicles the history of India’s IT industry, and continues to support brain research and aging studies, including initiatives like the Center for Computational Brain Research at IIT Madras.
A double master’s graduate from IIT Madras, Kris has received multiple honorary doctorates and lifetime fellowships, cementing his legacy as one of India’s most influential tech visionaries.
