PepsiCo India Names Menon as CMO of Foods Unit

Before joining the India team, Menon worked with PepsiCo’s AMESA (Africa, Middle East, South Asia) and International Beverages teams. She was involved in cross-market campaigns for brands such as Pepsi, 7Up, and Dew.

  • PepsiCo India has named Saakshi Verma Menon as the new chief marketing officer (CMO) for its foods division.

    Menon replaces Anshul Khanna, who is moving to another role within the company.

    She will lead the marketing strategy for PepsiCo’s food brands in India, which include Lay’s, Kurkure, Uncle Chipps, Quaker, Cheetos, and Doritos. She is also part of the India leadership team and will focus on driving brand growth in the foods category.

    “Super pumped to work on some of the most iconic and beloved brands from the house of PepsiCo—Lay’s, Kurkure, Uncle Chipps, Quaker, Cheetos, and Doritos,” Menon said in a LinkedIn post. “These brands have been part of everyday moments for millions, and I’m excited to shape the next chapter of their journey.”

    Before joining the India team, Menon worked with PepsiCo’s AMESA (Africa, Middle East, South Asia) and International Beverages teams. She was involved in cross-market campaigns for brands such as Pepsi, 7Up, and Dew.

    Menon has more than 20 years of marketing experience, with her previous stints being at Colgate-Palmolive, Uber, and Kimberly-Clark.

    Meanwhile, PepsiCo India has been making strategic investments in product innovation, consumer engagement, and brand building. Last year, the company reported a revenue of Rs8,877 crore and profit after tax of Rs883.4 crore, with snacks contributing over Rs6,800 crore.

    To expand its operations, PepsiCo India announced an investment of Rs1,266 crore to set up a flavor manufacturing facility in Ujjain, Madhya Pradesh, which is expected to start operations early next year.

    A new plant is also planned in Tamil Nadu. In India, PepsiCo competes with Coca-Cola, ITC, Bikaji, and Haldiram’s, while its bottling is managed by Varun Beverages.
