Premji Invest (PI) is India’s largest fund in venture capital, private equity, and public markets, backed by Indian businessman and philanthropist Azim Premji. It supports new and innovative technologies, fostering entrepreneurship, and invests in both private and public markets.
In private markets, it invests in early-stage companies, growth equity, and buyouts, mainly in financial services, technology, consumer, industrials, and healthcare. Most of PI’s returns go to the Azim Premji Foundation, a non-profit organization that supports underserved communities.
It manages $14.3 billion in assets and invests in India and the US across private equity, venture capital, public markets, liquid strategies, and fund of funds. Its portfolio includes companies like Hugging Face, Lenskart, FirstCry, Purplle, The Sleep Company, and Moderna in the US.
