He has been senior V-P and CIO of petrochemicals at Reliance since 2015, overseeing operations, supporting sustainability and emission control efforts, and contributing to the company’s alignment with global digital and operational excellence standards.
His key contributions involve optimizing logistics through network remapping, warehouse consolidation, vehicle upsizing, and improving vehicle utilization to cut transport-related emissions.
Deshpande earlier worked in oil and gas, cement, and petrochemical industries. He also spent considerable time in the IT industry with companies such as Accenture and Tata Consultancy Services Ltd (TCS).
