Palo Alto–based cybersecurity firm Deepwatch has opened a Global Capability Center (GCC) in Bengaluru, expanding its global footprint and anchoring more of its research and development work in India.
The firm specializes in managed detection and response services, a model that uses automated tools and AI along with human analysts to monitor networks, hunt threats and respond to attacks around the clock for large enterprises.
Chief Executive John DiLullo said the Bengaluru hub is intended to accelerate the firm’s push into AI-enabled security operations.
“The Bengaluru investment represents more than a new office, it reflects Deepwatch’s commitment to building exceptional AI-powered solutions for the cybersecurity industry,” he said.
India will play a key role in advancing the firm’s agentic AI programs, which aim to make security operations centers more efficient and more resilient against fast-moving threats, he added.
Prasad Channabasappa, Managing Director of Deepwatch India, said the center is core to the company’s long-term plan to make India a major base for cybersecurity research.
“India’s deep pool of cybersecurity talent gives us a unique advantage to accelerate product innovation, strengthen our threat intelligence capabilities, and deliver next-generation managed security outcomes to customers worldwide,” Channabasappa said.
Deepwatch said the new site currently has about 30 employees and will expand sharply over the next year, with hiring planned across engineering, cloud operations and product management.
The company expects the Bengaluru operation to strengthen its global platform.
