    In 2023, Sequoia Capital spun off its India and Southeast Asia business as Peak XV Partners, and the US firm ceased direct investment in India. 

    Peak XV Partners, formerly known as Sequoia Capital India & SEA, is a venture capital and growth investment firm active in India, Southeast Asia, and other regions. The name Peak XV, pronounced ‘Peak Fifteen,’ was the original name for Mount Everest. In India, Sequoia has invested in over 400 startups across various sectors in financial services, SaaS, fintech, healthtech, enterprise tech, internet, and consumer businesses.

    Over the past 17 years, Peak XV has managed over $9 billion across 13 funds and invested in more than 400 companies. Nearly 40 of these companies have achieved revenues exceeding $100 million. The team works from five offices in Bangalore, Mumbai, Delhi, Singapore, and Dubai, and includes professionals from 14 nationalities. Notable investments include Flipkart, Ola, Zomato, Policybazaar (PB Fintech), and Delhivery.
