Artha Venture Fund is the venture arm of the Artha Group, which grew out of an angel network. Founded in 2017 and headquartered in Mumbai, the fund targets seed‑stage investments across enterprise software, high‑tech innovation and consumer brands. It positions itself as a hands‑on partner for founders with unconventional ideas.
Its most recent deal was a $2.8 million seed round in community‑commerce startup Tribe, co‑led with Riverwalk Holdings and joined by investor Kunal Khanna. The fund’s portfolio includes three acquisitions: Biryani By Kilo, Biosense and Kabaddi Adda, and also features ventures such as AgniKul, InstaAstro and Talview. These investments showcase a willingness to back diverse sectors from aerospace to astrology.
Artha manages about $200 million with a 13‑person team, including two partners, and has participated in 57 funding rounds. It often co‑invests with platforms like LetsVenture and maintains close ties with its parent angel network. The firm’s seed‑stage focus and eclectic portfolio have made it a steady force in India’s early‑stage ecosystem.
