The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) and Google India have partnered to make Google Search AI Mode an Official Premier Partner for the 2026 edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL).
The tie-up is aimed at giving fans a more conversational search experience around the tournament, with richer match insights delivered through AI Mode.
The same capabilities are also expected to be reflected during live broadcasts, where AI-generated analysis will be incorporated into coverage.
Under the partnership, users will be able to explore tactical analysis of live games, revisit historical matches and ask deeper questions about players, strategy and turning points.
BCCI and Google also said in a release that, for the first time, IPL live broadcasts will include AI-powered analysis.
“IPL has always been the heartbeat of Indian Cricket, and this collaboration with Google India to integrate AI Mode into Search will fundamentally transform the fan experience,” Devajit Saikia, secretary of the BCCI, said.
“Cricket fans are not just passive viewers but are active experts; they are looking for deeper insights and stories that help them celebrate their teams both on and off the pitch,” Shekar Khosla, Vice-President of Marketing at Google India, said. “With AI Mode in Search, we’re excited to help fans stay connected to the game’s pulse like never before.”
