Bengaluru-based Gnani.ai is doubling down on voice-led AI, securing a $10 million Series B funding round led by Aavishkaar Capital, with participation from existing backer Info Edge Ventures. The round marks the first close of a larger fundraise, as the startup looks to scale its global footprint and sharpen its agentic AI stack.
Founded in 2016 by Ganesh Gopalan and Ananth Nagaraj, Gnani.ai has built a voice-first platform that now processes over 30 million daily interactions across 12+ languages, serving more than 200 enterprises, including Fortune 500 firms.
The company is betting big on multilingual, industry-specific voice AI to automate complex customer interactions while improving access across underserved language groups.
“At Gnani, our mission has always been to make customer engagement more human, more secure, and more scalable through voice-first AI. Partnering with Aavishkaar Capital is a powerful validation of that vision. Their investment will help us deepen our generative AI capabilities and accelerate our global expansion,” said Ganesh Gopalan & Ananth Nagaraj, Co-Founders, Gnani.ai.
The funding comes as Gnani.ai pushes its in-house models, including Inya VoiceOS, a 5-billion-parameter voice-to-voice foundational model unveiled at the India AI Impact Summit 2026. Positioned as a sovereign AI system, it bypasses traditional speech-to-text pipelines to enable direct spoken intelligence.
The company has also rolled out Vachana STT and Vachana TTS models, targeting enterprise-grade speech recognition and natural-sounding voice generation across Indic languages.
For Shilpa Maheshwari, Managing Director, Aavishkaar Capital, the bet goes beyond enterprise automation.
“Deep-tech is no longer a niche; it is becoming central to solving the defining challenges of our time: agricultural resilience, financial inclusion, climate adaptation, and equitable access to services. Gnani.ai exemplifies what we look for: a platform built with genuine technical depth, proven at scale, and with a clear pathway to meaningful impact across diverse communities. We are proud to back them at this stage of their global journey,” she said.
The investment also reinforces Aavishkaar Capital’s broader push into deep-tech, reflecting a growing conviction that frontier AI, when paired with real-world use cases, can drive large-scale impact in emerging markets.
“We have been proud investors in Gnani.ai since the early days, and this fund raise is a milestone that reflects the team’s exceptional execution. Gnani.ai has built a world-class voice AI platform, positioning itself as a leader in both enterprise and sovereign AI. We believe the company is well-positioned to become a global leader in agentic voice AI, and we are delighted to continue backing Ganesh, Ananth, and the entire team on this journey,” added Chinmaya Sharma, Partner at Info Edge Ventures.
