HCL Tech Ties Up With Volkswagen Group’s e.solutions
The deal gives HCLTech a deeper role in the software-defined vehicle stack, where automakers are racing to turn the dashboard into an AI-enabled operating layer

HCL Technologies Ltd has signed a multi-year partnership with e.solutions, a German automotive software specialist in the Volkswagen Group, to develop infotainment and connectivity software for software-defined vehicles.
The companies will work on AI-enabled in-car entertainment and connectivity platforms built on Android Automotive.
HCLTech will develop, integrate and validate production-grade human-machine interface software for multiple vehicle programs, helping e.solutions deploy products across hardware platforms and global markets.
“Our partnership with HCLTech enables us to scale HMI software development across diverse vehicle programs while maintaining the highest standards of quality, consistency, and user experience,” said Uwe Reder, CEO of e.solutions.
Pankaj Tagra, Chief Growth Officer and Global Head, Mobility at HCLTech, said the partnership combines AI-driven engineering with automotive software expertise to accelerate infotainment platform development.
e.solutions develops software for infotainment and in-car communication, including frameworks, applications and graphical user interfaces.
HCLTech has more than 227,000 employees across 60 countries and reported $14.7 billion in revenue for the 12 months ended 31 March.
