TCS Wins IT Modernization Deal from Norway's Elopak

The Indian IT services company will use AI, automation and cloud to modernize the Norwegian packaging firm’s global IT operations.

  • Tata Consultancy Services Ltd (TCS) has won a multi-year deal from Norway’s Elopak ASA to modernize and manage the packaging company’s global IT operations.

    The companies did not disclose financial terms.

    Under the agreement, TCS will act as Elopak’s strategic IT partner and use a process-led operating model to improve the company’s IT agility, efficiency and digital experience.

    TCS said it will deploy Cognix, its AI-powered service delivery suite, along with automation, analytics and cloud capabilities. The program includes setting up an integrated service desk and upgrading key enterprise applications.

    “Our partnership with TCS represents a significant step in advancing our digital ambitions and strengthening our global operations,” said Merethe Johansen, Chief Information Officer at Elopak.

    Anupam Singhal, President for Manufacturing at TCS, said the partnership would help Elopak modernize its IT operations with AI, automation and cloud across its global business.

    The deal adds to TCS’ presence in the Nordic region, where it has offices and delivery centers across Sweden, Norway, Denmark and Finland.

    Elopak supplies paper-based packaging, filling machines and related services through brands including Pure-Pak, D-PAK and Roll Fed.

    Founded in Norway in 1957 and listed on the Oslo Stock Exchange, the company operates in more than 40 countries and serves customers in more than 70 markets.
