Kalika Bali is a leading expert in multilingual AI, natural language processing (NLP), and inclusive digital technologies. At Microsoft Research India, her work focuses on speech and language tools for underrepresented communities.
She has made significant contributions to developing AI systems that understand and process code-mixed and low-resource languages.
In 2023, she was featured on the inaugural TIME100 AI list for her work advancing linguistic equity through AI.
