Vishal Bhatia is the chief digital officer at Canara Bank and a seasoned technology leader with more than 24 years in banking and fintech. Previously the CTO at Kotak Mahindra Bank’s Cherry platform, Bhatia has driven innovation at multiple banking institutions.

He has led the development of over 40 product platforms and implemented 400+ applications, impacting over 10 crore customers. He played a key role in establishing IDFC First Bank, Deutsche Bank, and ABN Amro in India, and has led major initiatives in digital lending, cloud, AI/ML, and API banking.

An Electronics Engineering graduate with an MBA in Finance from ICFAI Hyderabad, Bhatia also holds certifications in project management, cloud computing, cybersecurity, and data science. His leadership is widely recognized in customer-centric digital strategy and transformation.
