Ashwini Vaishnaw, India’s minister for electronics and information technology, has been instrumental in driving the country’s digital public infrastructure expansion, data protection frameworks, and promotion of homegrown technologies such as BharOS.

He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering, an M.Tech from IIT Kanpur, and an MBA from the Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania.
