Rajagopalan has been the CTO at SBI since November 2022, leading the bank’s technology strategy, digital transformation, and modernization initiatives. Before joining SBI, Rajagopalan was Bank Technology Group Head, ICICI Bank (2014–22). He led technology for retail, corporate, and digital banking, and managed major projects like core banking migration. He also worked as senior V-P, Intellect Design Arena Ltd, and held leadership and engineering roles at Infosys, Polaris Software Lab, and Saksoft.
As an engineering graduate, he spearheaded SBI’s digital transformation, emphasizing AI-driven banking, cloud adoption, cybersecurity, and real-time analytics to enhance efficiency and customer experience. He received an award from NASSCOM for AI adoption and was recognized for best core banking migration at ICICI Bank. He led the large-scale modernization of banking infrastructure and applications at SBI.
