Harnath Babu is partner and chief information officer at KPMG in India, where he leads the firm’s technology strategy, operations, and innovation efforts. He has overseen the rollout of artificial intelligence, cloud platforms, and data analytics to improve decision-making, streamline operations, and enhance service delivery. His focus remains on building secure, scalable, and responsive systems that equip the firm for the future.
Before joining KPMG, Harnath held senior roles in the financial services sector, where he launched digital-first ventures and modernized core IT systems. An alumnus of IIM Ahmedabad, he is regarded as a thoughtful voice in India’s CIO community and a long-time champion of technology-led business transformation.
