HCL Technologies Ltd has expanded its partnership with Pegasystems to help enterprises modernize legacy systems using artificial intelligence, the Noida-based technology services company said.
The collaboration will combine HCLTech AI Force with Pega Blueprint to convert legacy systems into cloud-native, AI-powered Pega applications.
HCLTech said the offering will use generative AI and agentic AI to automate the discovery, documentation and transformation of older systems, reducing manual effort and shortening modernization timelines.
HCLTech said AI Force can analyze legacy code and convert it into business requirements, while Pega Blueprint can turn those requirements into structured low-code application blueprints.
The companies said the combined approach is aimed at helping enterprises retire legacy technology estates rather than merely migrate them.
“Our long-standing partnership with Pega continues to inspire real innovation,” said Sadagopan Singam, Executive Vice-President and global head of enterprise platforms and edge services at HCLTech. “By combining HCLTech AI Force with Pega Blueprint, we are making legacy modernization faster, smarter and more accurate.”
John Higgins, chief of client and partner success at Pega, said organizations need to modernize legacy systems faster while maintaining “enterprise-class scalability, security, resilience and transparency.”
Pega has been expanding Blueprint’s modernization capabilities. In June 2025, the company said the platform could use agentic AI to ingest and analyze legacy assets, including documents, user-interface screens, technical files and source code, and convert them into modern application designs.
Pega said at the time that 88% of global IT decision-makers reported that technical debt affected their ability to keep pace with more agile competitors.
HCLTech said it has more than 227,000 employees across 60 countries and reported consolidated revenue of $14.7 billion for the 12 months ended March 2026.
