Founded in 2011 and headquartered in Mumbai, India Quotient is a seed-stage venture firm known for backing India-first consumer internet and mass-market platforms at inception. The firm has backed more than 120 startups across consumer tech, commerce, fintech, logistics, and SaaS. Its portfolio includes breakout names such as ShareChat, Sugar Cosmetics, Lendingkart, IIMjobs, and myHQ.
India Quotient’s most high-profile outcome remains ShareChat, now a unicorn, alongside more than 20 acquisitions across earlier cohorts. The firm is among the most active seed investors in the country and regularly co-invests with platforms such as AngelList India, Omidyar Network India, and early-stage micro-VCs.
Across its multiple funds, India Quotient manages about $250 million in assets and has participated in nearly 200 funding rounds, according to Tracxn and public disclosures. The firm operates with a lean team of about 15–16 professionals, including five partners.
