Mayfield is a venture capital fund managing $3 billion across 20 US funds, with a focus on early- and growth-stage startups. The firm takes a “People First” approach and has invested in over 550 early-stage companies, resulting in 120 IPOs and 225 mergers and acquisitions.
Worldwide, Mayfield has supported over 1,000 early-stage investments in fields such as enterprise technology, AI, consumer, and healthcare, and is interested in areas including cognition-as-a-service and semiconductors. Mayfield India has backed unicorns and leaders like Swiggy, Freshworks, Dream11, and Lendingkart.
Recent investments include Innovaccer ($150 million Series D, 2022) and Uniphore ($400 million Series E, 2022), with a focus on AI teammates and collaborative intelligence. Other notable deals are early investments in Agnikul Cosmos (spacetech), Ninjacart (agritech), Rebel Foods (cloud kitchens), and Strata ($6 million Series A, 2021 with Elevation Capital).
Major exits, such as Poshmark ($1.2 billion acquisition), the Lyft IPO, and SolarCity (acquired by Tesla), demonstrate Mayfield’s strength in early-stage investing. The latest funds, Mayfield XVII ($ 580 million) and Select III ($375 million), support approximately 10 deals each year.
