Reliance Enterprise Intelligence Ltd (REIL), the enterprise AI joint venture between Reliance Intelligence Ltd and Facebook Overseas Inc., has appointed Parminder Singh as its Chief Executive Officer with immediate effect.
REIL is owned 70% by Reliance Intelligence Ltd and 30% by Facebook Overseas Inc., a subsidiary of Meta Platforms Inc., according to the company’s release.
The company said it has been established to accelerate enterprise AI adoption across India by combining Meta’s AI capabilities with Reliance’s enterprise reach, AI compute infrastructure and Jio’s nationwide connectivity.
The appointment gives the Reliance Meta venture its first chief executive as it starts building out an enterprise AI business aimed at Indian firms. REIL said the venture will offer secure, sovereign and scalable AI built for Indian enterprise needs.
Singh most recently co-founded ClayboxAI, an AI fluency and leadership advisory firm, and WeKamp, an AI-powered community platform currently in pilot.
He has previously held senior roles at Google, Apple, Twitter and IBM, and served as chief commercial and digital officer at Mediacorp, Singapore’s largest media group, where he led digital and AI-related transformation work, the company said.
Akash Ambani, Chairman of Reliance Jio Infocomm, said Singh’s experience across global and regional markets would be central to building the company. “Building India’s enterprise AI capability is a generational opportunity, and REIL was created to lead that charge.
Parminder brings precisely the blend of global technology leadership, deep Asian market intuition, and executive credibility that this role demands,” he said.
“He has built digital businesses at scale, navigated complex transformations, and earned the trust of boards, engineers, and customers alike. Parminder’s appointment is a critical first step towards assembling a world-class team that will define enterprise AI in India — and set a benchmark well beyond it,” Ambani added.
Singh said the company aims to address enterprise demand for applied AI solutions. “Indian enterprises need a trusted AI partner who understands both the technology and the business context. REIL is built to be exactly that. With Jio and Meta’s combined capabilities, we have a genuinely differentiated proposition. I am deeply honoured to lead this venture, and excited by what we can build together,” he said.
