Balaji joined the ICICI Group in 2007 and moved to ICICI Bank in November 2018 to head its technology function.

He began his career with Hindustan Aeronautics Ltd and went on to hold senior management roles at Eicher Group, Bharti Airtel, Reliance Communications, and ICICI Prudential Life Insurance.

At ICICI Bank, he led several technology transformation initiatives aimed at driving digital banking and improving operational efficiency. Under his leadership, the lender integrated advanced IT systems and digital platforms, significantly enhancing its customer service capabilities and strengthening its competitive position in the banking sector.
