  • Zoho launched Classes 2.0, an AI-powered academic Learning Management System (LMS) for educational institutions worldwide. The platform supports all 22 scheduled Indian languages and is initially available in India, with global roll-outs planned soon. It unifies teaching and learning, offering students and administrators a single AI-powered platform.
The latest version features three core capabilities: AI integration throughout the learning process, engagement tools for digital-native learners, and student lifecycle management with institutional intelligence.
The platform is localized for India’s linguistic diversity, enabling AI-powered teaching, assessments, and content delivery in students’ preferred languages. These features help institutions improve student outcomes, support teachers, enhance engagement, and enable informed decision-making, according to the Chennai-based company.
“Education shapes how societies learn, adapt, and grow, making it one of the most important areas where technology can create lasting impact. Every education system is unique, and technology must be built around local needs and diverse learning environments. This belief shaped Zoho Classes into a platform designed to adapt to the diverse students and education systems it serves,” said Mani Vembu, CEO, Zoho.
For teachers, the platform reduces administrative tasks, allowing more time for teaching.
The AI Course Builder converts a syllabus, topic, or lesson plan into a complete course in under 30 seconds. It automatically generates video lesson outlines, reading materials, assignments with rubrics, and adaptive practice tests, all aligned with relevant Course and Program Outcomes.
Teachers can deliver courses using content locking, scheduled releases, and in-video note-saving, and access a library of over 100,000 prebuilt curriculum templates.
For students, the platform offers an engaging, personalized experience in their preferred language. A 24/7 AI Tutor supports self-paced learning, while microlearning, interactive activities, and gamified experiences enhance engagement and retention. Zoho Classes 2.0 supports outcome-based education and accreditation readiness through automated tracking of Course Outcome (CO) and Programme Outcome (PO) attainment.
The platform also supports key digital learning, multilingual education, and outcome-based learning objectives outlined under India’s National Education Policy (NEP) 2020.
Institutions can streamline reporting and documentation for accreditation frameworks, including NAAC, NBA, UGC, and NMC.
For medical institutions, the platform supports Competency-Based Medical Education (CBME) workflows aligned with National Medical Commission (NMC) requirements, including competency tracking, clinical log management, OSPE and OSCE assessments, and audit-ready documentation.
Built on Zoho’s vertically integrated technology stack, the platform supports data residency in India, provides sovereign data protection, and complies with India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act (DPDP).
