Gurugram‑based Trifecta Capital was founded in 2015 by Rahul Khanna and Nilesh Kothari with a mandate to provide venture debt alongside growth equity. Today it operates from offices in Gurugram, Mumbai and Bengaluru, deploying capital across consumer, fintech, logistics and enterprise software. The firm has raised several venture‑debt funds and a growth equity vehicle, positioning itself as a flexible financing partner for startups.
Recent investments range from a modest $58, 000 Series A cheque for social‑commerce startup Wishlink to later‑stage debt for unicorns such as Zepto and Urban Company. Trifecta’s portfolio includes at least 17 unicorns, eight IPOs and 15 acquisitions, with companies like Ixigo, Physics Wallah and Urban Company illustrating its breadth across India’s digital economy. By complementing equity with debt, the firm helps founders optimize their capital structures.
With roughly $600 million under management, Trifecta employs around 73 people, including 10 partners. The firm is a frequent co‑investor with other venture‑debt players and has participated in more than 230 funding rounds, reflecting a high deal velocity that spans both equity and debt markets.
