Kaninghat leads the organization’s digital transformation and innovation agenda, focusing on leveraging advanced digital solutions to optimize business processes, enhance customer experiences, and drive revenue growth.

Kaninghat has completed an MBA from the Indian School of Business (ISB), Hyderabad, and a Bachelor of Engineering (Computer Science) from the University of Mumbai. At JSW, Kaninghat leads digital transformation, innovation, and technology-driven value creation across JSW’s diverse business verticals, including steel, energy, infrastructure, and cement.

Earlier, he was CDO at Aditya Birla Group (chemicals division), where he spearheaded digital strategy, automation, and data analytics for the chemicals business, driving operational excellence and customer-centricity. He also worked as head of digital transformation at Reliance Industries, leading large-scale manufacturing and supply chain digitalization programs, focusing on IoT, AI, and advanced analytics.
