Sunita Sarawagi is a senior professor of computer science at IIT Bombay and a widely respected expert in how computers learn from data and understand language. She also started the Centre for Machine Intelligence and Data Science (C-MInDS) at the institute.
Her career includes research roles at IBM and Google, where she worked on large-scale recommendation systems.
She holds degrees from IIT-Kharagpur and the University of California, Berkeley, and is a recipient of the Infosys Prize in Engineering and Computer Science.
