Raju Goyal has led energy optimization initiatives, driving UltraTech’s sustainability and decarbonization roadmap, and has earned accolades such as the Aditya Birla Group Innovation Delivery Excellence Team Award (2020), and the International Best Researcher Award (2022).
He holds a master’s degree in chemistry from Agra and an MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business, and is currently pursuing a Ph.D. at Sharda University. With over 30 years of experience in the cement industry across Asia, Africa, Europe, and Oceania, Goyal has held senior roles at Cement Roadstone Holdings (CRH), Holcim (various top management positions), and Holtec Consulting before joining UltraTech in 2019. His expertise spans technical services, R&D, sustainability, energy management, decarbonization, process optimization, and digital transformation.
Goyal is also involved in industry bodies such as NITI Aayog, CII, BIS, GCCA, and the National Council for Cement and Building Materials, where he contributes to policy and innovation in green cement and low-carbon technologies.
