WaterBridge Ventures was founded in 2016 with a mission to become India’s go‑to seed fund. Headquartered in Delhi, the firm specializes in early‑stage bets across enterprise software, consumer internet and retail. It keeps its portfolio deliberately concentrated, making only a handful of new investments each year to ensure hands‑on support for founders.
The most recent publicly disclosed deal is a $3 million seed round in Fairdeal Market, co‑led with Incubate Fund India. WaterBridge’s portfolio has already produced one unicorn, Unacademy, and two acquisitions in Doubtnut and BlueJack. Its “FastForward” programme offers founders quick feedback and a commitment to respond within seven days, differentiating it in the crowded seed market.
Managing about $250 million, WaterBridge operates with a lean 13‑person team that includes three partners. It has participated in 67 funding rounds and often co‑invests with seed syndicates such as AngelList India. Its proactive support and structured programme have made it a sought‑after early backer for Indian startups.
