AI ‘kill Switch’

Jack Clark says governments may eventually require AI companies to prove they can shut down systems that become dangerously difficult to control.

The RBI wants financial institutions to stop faulty AI and keep essential services running. The harder task is building controls that can do both.

The bipartisan bill would let US authorities throttle or halt advanced AI systems during severe loss-of-control incidents.
