Bessemer Venture Partners is expected to lead the round, with Nvidia, Amazon and Prosperity7 Ventures also set to participate, Bloomberg reported.
The reductions are part of a broader effort to simplify operations and reduce bureaucracy, the company said.
The move pits Amazon’s generative AI assistant more directly against browser-based rivals such as ChatGPT and Gemini.
Discussions follow OpenAI’s restructuring and could expand use of Amazon’s custom AI chips.
