  • T-Hub, a Hyderabad-based startup incubator backed by the Telangana government and industry partners, has entered into a strategic partnership with the Directorate of Information Technology, Government of Tripura, to build a structured startup ecosystem in the state.

The collaboration comes as Tripura’s startup base expands. Recognized startups in the state have grown about 66% over the past five years across technology, services and emerging sectors, reflecting stronger entrepreneurial activity.

Under the partnership, T-Hub will work with the Directorate of Information Technology, the nodal authority under Tripura’s Industries and Commerce Department, to design and operationalize structured incubation frameworks.

The effort includes support for the state’s Incubation Centre and Innovation Park, preparation of Detailed Project Reports, acceleration programs, mentor exchanges, leadership workshops, startup showcases and investor connects.

The partnership was formalized during the launch of Tripura’s innovation and incubation initiatives under the New Sector Agnostic Tripura Startup Policy.

A key component is T-NEST (Tripura Nurturing Entrepreneurship and Startups), the state’s flagship incubation hub, aimed at strengthening institutional capacity and helping founders scale through structured mentorship and national network access.

The initiative aligns with the broader thrust of Budget 2026, which placed renewed emphasis on strengthening entrepreneurship and digital infrastructure across India’s North Eastern region.

Jeya Ragul Geshan B., IFS, Director (IT) and Head of Startup Tripura, said the partnership signals the state’s long-term commitment to innovation-led governance.

“Through this collaboration with T-Hub, Tripura is positioning itself to emerge as a pioneering state and a model for innovation-led governance across the country. By accelerating capacity building, strengthening incubation infrastructure, enabling structured mentorship, and integrating our entrepreneurs into national and global startup networks, we aim to create a sustainable, technology-driven growth engine for the State,” he said.

Kavikrut, CEO of T-Hub, emphasized that India’s next wave of startup growth will depend on how effectively regional ecosystems are built.

“The next chapter of India’s startup ecosystem growth will be shaped by how well we can build regional ecosystems and tap entrepreneurial talent across the country. At T-Hub, we have built frameworks that help founders access capital, markets, partnerships, and mentorship for products being built from India for the world. Our partnership with Tripura is a testament to our commitment to building ecosystems that help founders from all regions compete at the global level,” he said.

Founded in Hyderabad, T-Hub has supported more than 2,000 startups through structured programs, funding access, and global market linkages.
