Upasana Rupkrishan Taku is Co-Founder, Executive Director and Chief Financial Officer of MobiKwik, the digital payments and financial services company she launched in 2009. She has overseen the company’s evolution from a mobile wallet startup into a broader fintech platform spanning payments, lending and financial products.

Before founding MobiKwik, Taku worked at PayPal in the US, where she was involved in product management across financial services and global payments. She also held roles at HSBC in the US, gaining experience in consumer finance and risk management before returning to India to build a domestic digital payments platform.

Taku holds a bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering from Punjab Technical University and a master’s degree in Management Science and Engineering from Stanford University. She has been recognized in business rankings for women entrepreneurs and fintech leaders in India.
