Renuka Ramnath is one of India’s most prominent private equity investors, with more than three decades of experience in financial services and capital markets. She established Multiples Alternate Asset Management in 2009, building it into a platform backed by global and Indian institutional investors that focuses on growth investments across sectors such as financial services, technology, healthcare and consumer businesses.
Before founding Multiples, Ramnath spent over two decades at the ICICI Group, where she led ICICI Venture as Managing Director and CEO for nearly a decade. During that period, the firm expanded into one of India’s largest private equity platforms, scaling from a proprietary fund structure to a multibillion-dollar investment platform with third-party institutional capital.
Multiples continues to invest actively in growth companies. In 2025, the firm agreed to acquire a controlling stake in digital engineering company QBurst in a transaction valued at about $200 million, one of its largest technology investments. The firm has also backed financial services and technology companies including Svatantra Microfin and Geniemode as part of its board.
