Deepak Bagla is the Mission Director of the Atal Innovation Mission (AIM) at NITI Aayog, the Government of India’s premier policy think tank. He previously served as Managing Director & CEO of Invest India, which he transformed into the world’s most awarded investment promotion agency.

Bagla has been instrumental in shaping India’s investment and innovation landscape through initiatives like Startup India, One District One Product, digital investor services, and the country’s first PPP infrastructure fund. He sits on numerous high-level committees, covering infrastructure, fintech, tourism, innovation, healthcare, and science and technology. 

Bagla has represented India on bilateral CEO forums worldwide and has contributed to global investment policy as President of World Association of Investment Promotion Agencies. His honors include the Special Jury Award for Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year (2023) and the title of “Grande Ufficiale dell’Ordine della Stella d’Italia” (Order of the Star of Italy), conferred by the President of Italy.
