Samir Saran is President of the Observer Research Foundation (ORF), one of Asia’s most influential think tanks. He leads ORF’s strategy, research agenda, global partnerships, and platform development, and is the driving force behind the Raisina Dialogue—India’s flagship conference on geopolitics and geo-economics—and CyFy, the country’s leading forum on cybersecurity and internet governance.
A prominent voice on global governance, climate change, energy policy, artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, and India’s foreign policy, Saran serves as a Commissioner on the Global Commission on the Stability of Cyberspace, and sits on the World Economic Forum’s South Asia Advisory Board and its Global Future Council on Cybersecurity.
He holds a Doctorate from the Global Sustainability Institute, UK, and a Master’s in Media Studies from the London School of Economics and Political Science.
