Nandan Nilekani is the Co-founder and Chairman of Infosys Technologies, one of India’s largest IT services companies. A graduate in Electrical Engineering from IIT Bombay, he served as CEO of Infosys from 2002 to 2007, steering the company’s global expansion and growth.
Beyond Infosys, Nilekani was the founding Chairman of the Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI), where he led the creation of Aadhaar—the world’s largest biometric identification system—which has empowered over a billion Indians.
A committed philanthropist, he and his wife Rohini have pledged much of their wealth to education, healthcare, and urban development initiatives. He is the author of influential books, including Imagining India and Rebooting India, and has been honored with numerous awards, including the Padma Bhushan. Nilekani continues to shape India’s digital future through innovation and leadership.
