Padmaja Ruparel is Co-Founder of the Indian Angel Network (IAN), one of India’s early organized angel investment platforms. Through IAN and its affiliated funds, she has played a role in shaping early-stage capital formation across sectors including technology, healthcare and consumer businesses.
She also helped establish BioAngels in partnership with BIRAC to support life sciences and biotechnology ventures. As a founding partner within the IAN Group’s venture capital arm, she was involved in launching SEBI-registered alternative investment funds focused on early- and growth-stage opportunities.
Ruparel serves on several industry and policy forums linked to entrepreneurship and capital markets. Her career spans corporate roles, mergers and acquisitions advisory and early-stage investing, positioning her as a long-standing participant in India’s startup ecosystem.
