Namita Thapar joined Emcure Pharmaceuticals as CFO after a six-year stint at Guidant Corporation in the US, and later took charge of the company’s largest business unit, the India business. Over the years, her role has expanded from finance to operational leadership, placing her at the centre of strategy and growth for one of India’s major pharmaceutical players. Thapar has recently founded her company Arth by Emcure, a holistic wellness brand developed by Emcure Pharmaceuticals to support women through challenges of perimenopause and menopause.
Beyond corporate responsibilities, Thapar has consistently focused on issues she sees as underserved, particularly women’s health and youth entrepreneurship. During the COVID-19 pandemic, she launched Uncondition Yourself with Namita, a YouTube talk show aimed at breaking taboos and providing credible information around women’s health.
She leads Incredible Ventures Ltd, an education venture that introduces entrepreneurship to students aged 11-18, encouraging early exposure to business thinking and problem-solving. Thapar is also active in leadership and mentoring ecosystems, serving on the India Regional Advisory Board of the Fuqua School of Business, as a trustee on the TiE Mumbai Board, and as a member of the Young Presidents’ Organization.
