For many young Indians, affordable mobile data and online shopping are integral to daily life. Isha M. Ambani has contributed significantly behind the scenes to both sectors. Serving as a Non-Executive Director at Reliance Industries, she participates in strategic decision-making for some of the group’s most prominent consumer enterprises. 

She was an integral part of the team that facilitated the launch of Reliance Jio in 2016, a development that revolutionised India’s telecommunications market by substantially lowering data costs and expanding internet access to hundreds of millions of people. At Reliance Retail, her focus has been on expanding physical and digital retail formats, including platforms such as Ajio and Tira, while broadening the company’s private label portfolio. 

Beyond business, she is involved with the Reliance Foundation. She also contributes to the development of institutions such as Dhirubhai Ambani International School and Jio Institute. A Yale and Stanford graduate, she leads a generation, managing legacy businesses in a digital age, balancing tradition, technology, and the expectations of a young, online India.
