Neelam Dhawan, Chairperson of the Board, Ather Energy Limited
Few leaders have had a front row seat to India’s technology revolution quite like Neelam Dhawan. With over forty years of experience, she has been instrumental in shaping Indian IT’s evolution from hardware to cloud computing, and from enterprise software to digital transformation.
Her career spans leadership roles at HCL, IBM, Microsoft and Hewlett Packard Enterprise, where she served as VP for Asia-Pacific and Japan until 2018. Beyond executive roles, Dhawan has influenced policy and industry direction. As a member of NASSCOM’s Executive Council from 2009 to 2017, she helped shape industry strategy and public policy frameworks during a critical growth phase for India’s tech sector.
Today, she chairs the boards of Ather Energy and Capillary Technologies. She also serves on the boards of Tech Mahindra, Hindustan Unilever, Fractal Analytics, and Capita. An economics graduate of St Stephen’s College and an MBA from the Faculty of Management Studies, University of Delhi, Dhawan represents a rare blend of operational depth and boardroom influence.
